CosmosGreen is seeking highly talented and motivated individuals to join our team as Management Trainees in the field of Climate Smart Agriculture. We are looking for candidates with 2-3 years of experience, who have excelled in their academic and professional journey, and possess a strong passion for addressing climate challenges and promoting sustainable farming practices.
As a Management Trainee at CosmosGreen, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects aimed at making biodiversity economically viable through the establishment of fruit forests, implementing climate smart rice farming techniques, and developing innovative strategies to improve soil organic carbon. This role involves a combination of fieldwork and strategic communication responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the co-founders and project team to design and implement climate smart agricultural initiatives.
Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, monitoring, and analysis of farming practices and environmental impact.
Assist in developing and executing strategies to promote sustainable farming methods and raise awareness about the importance of climate smart agriculture. Contribute to the creation of fruit forests, incorporating biodiversity and economic viability.
Explore and implement techniques to improve soil organic carbon and enhance soil health.
Conduct research on best practices and innovations in climate smart agriculture. Support in the development and execution of communication plans to engage stakeholders, including farmers, communities, and relevant organizations.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable institution. One in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, or a related field is an added advantage.
2-3 years of experience in a challenging role. We want to hire people who excelled at something that they have done. Candidates with rural background and rural work ex will be preferred.
Good analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific data.
Proficient in project management, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passionate about addressing climate challenges and promoting sustainable agriculture. Experience in working with startups or in a dynamic work environment is a plus.
