Role Overview:
CosmosGreen is looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager – Farm Operations to take on the exciting challenge of leading the development of our Veltoor project. This role requires someone with exceptional project management skills, experience in farm operations, and a strong understanding of sustainable agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Development Ownership: Manage all facets of the Veltoor project development. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing project activities, ensuring timely and quality completion of the project.
Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day farm operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and sustainable farming practices are adhered to.
Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop farm staff, fostering a productive and respectful work environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with various stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure open lines of communication are maintained and stakeholder expectations are managed.
Budget Management: Develop, manage, and adhere to the project budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and optimal resource allocation.
Compliance: Ensure all farming activities are compliant with relevant local, state, and national regulations and standards.
Reporting: Provide regular progress updates, insights, and recommendations to the senior management team.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in farm management or agricultural operations.
3. Strong understanding of sustainable farming practices and principles.
4. Excellent project management and team leadership abilities.
5. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with various project management tools.
8. Willingness to reside in Veltoor and travel as needed.
